We attended the church wedding of one of our friend from YEP group. During the ceremony, a pastor went on stage to make some speech which I thought is really meaningful..<\/p>\n
He asked the groom (our friend) one very impt question which he always asks newly wedded couple.. “Why do you marry her?” As we grow older, we realise that at a certain point of time in our life, we will want to get marry and start our own family. But what is the reason or the motive for that? <\/p>\n
He went on to say that this question is very important, because the entire process of a marriage is because of that very motive. If the motive is wrong, the marriage may eventually end up with problems. One common example is when the couple are marrying because they feel HDB flat is cheaper and need to be married in order to purchase one… Once the motive is wrong, the couple would be heading in the wrong direction altogether…<\/p>\n
Actually the pastor made a pretty long speech on love and marriage but I am just too tired to type them all out.. but I think his speech really made us think and appreciate what we have now… remember love is not about asking the other person to love you.. it is about sacrificing for the one you love.. <\/p>\n
Oh and I think it is really cool to have our future son to be in a church band.. then he can wear smart clothes with a tie to play the guitar.. :grin1 We would be so proud of him..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
